The classic Stephen Schwartz musical (based mostly on the parables in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke) has been reinterpreted for a modern audience. The show is set in the " urban projects" of Harlem. As the Apostles hear the teachings of Jesus, they add surrealist "art garbage" elements to show their commitment.
